I have to agree with Webster on this one: disconsolation is dejection and grief.

When you're used to having consoles, a system without one is a superficial, untrustworthy and devious thing. Without a console you don't get the feeling of power and control which is so central to managing a system. Without a console you never get a glimpse of the dark side, those cryptic files that govern the heart and sole of the server, those crafty commands that cut straight through the layers of GUI, menus and junk or the beauty of text based output just when you though everything was lost.

Say no to disconsolation!

Dis*con`so*la"tion (?), n.

Dejection; grief.
