Dormitory at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Named after J. Huntley Dupre.

Dupre Hall is a 5 story underclasmen dorm at the north end of the Macalester campus. It has a puzzling design for Minnesota, with narrow windows, a flat roof, and stilts instead of a first floor.

A popular story on campus, (most likely an urban legend) is that Macalester and a Florida university both hired the same architectural firm to design a new dorm, and the plans got swapped. Thus, somewhere in Florida there is a sensible peak-roofed building suitible for Minnesota weather, and Macalester is stuck with this flood and hurricane proof monstrosity.
