Falaise pocket is the Allied term for the area in which the German troops were trapped when they tried to cut off the supply lines of the allied troops breaking out of Normandy in August 1944. German troops were led by Field Marshal von Kluge, and they were crushed thanks to the combined work of the soldiers from several allied nations, plus the USAAF.
