First published in 1999, Tim Moore's travel book retraces the steps of Lord Dufferin's travels through Iceland and the Arctic Circle. Moore is an unashamedly crap traveller: puffing and panting across the wastelands of central Iceland, getting seasick on trawlers and failing to match his forerunner's stiff upper lip and mighty British resolve. Funny, without pissing you off like Bill Bryson, you have to love a book whose title comes from a filthy joke.
