A combination of one or two light isotopes, that when collided at sufficient velocity, will fuse and produce a net energy gain. The most likely candidates for practical fusion applications, and likely side reactions, are listed below. The figures are from the 1998 Revised NRL Plasma Physics Formulary. Branching ratios are accurate near the reaction cross-section peak. Negative values indicate the reaction is endothermic.
