Star Trek: Voyager seems to have decided that measurement is an inherent property of the universe, and that it can be distrorted (which causes the ship to be bounced around). Whenever they refer to Gravimetric Distortions, I get the urge to tell them to fix their sensors (Gravimetric distortions would be distortions in the measurement of gravity, not in gravity itself). This just goes to show that Voyager's attempts to distinguish itself from the other Treks by replacing every bit of technobabble with a new and utterly redundant bit of technobabble (even in cases where the origional babble was REAL technobabble eg. "gravitational") are incredibly annoying and degrade what little there is of the show to degrade.
