Short
poems by the
Danish poet
Piet Hein. The word itself is
meaningless (or was, until Piet Hein claimed it. :)
Some grooks:
Here is a fact
that should help you fight a bit longer:
Things that don’t actually kill you outright
make you stronger.
The road to wisdom?-
Well, it’s plain and simple to express:
Err
and err
and err again
but less
and less
and less.
And my favorite (in Danish):
Den, som kun tar spøg for spøg
og alvor kun alvorligt,
han og hun har faktisk fattet
begge dele dårligt
One who just takes jokes as jokes
and seriousness just serious,
he or she has actually understood
both things rather poorly
