Brahmananda Saraswati, the
Shankracharya (highest seat of the
Shankara tradition) of the Northern
Math (in the
Himalayas.)
Was
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's teacher (perhaps the one who gave him the title
Maharishi, as he claims the title was bestowed upon him by a teacher, though that is
questionable.) When doing the
puja (
TM initiation
ceremony),
Maharishi heavily included Guru Dev among the "
saintly" teachers in the Shankara tradition.
