If you live in Seattle, you've likely gone by Pier 54, home of Ivar's fish n' chips stand. The restaurant chain was originally founded by Ivar Haglund. The first restaurant he opened was named Ivar's Acres of Clams. In 1946, his restaurant was amazing, for it had all-electric equipment. Renowned for its great fish, almost any time you go by you can see people tossing their left-overs to the nearby gulls, sitting outside the walled eating area.
