1984, he brought his twelve-gauge
shotgun,
9mm pistol, and 9mm
semi-automatic Carbine with him to a
McDonald's in
San Ysidro,
California, and began shooting at the
customers and
employees, killing 21 people and wounding 19. He was immortalized,
for lack of a better word, in
Throwing Muses' "
Hate My Way".
