Joe C. joined Rock's band in 1994, and since then had become a signature member of the group's live shows. People often mistook him for Kid's son.
According to MSNBC.com Joe C. once sparked a child pornography investigation after posing with two naked women for some snapshots. The clerk at the photo lab thought he was 10 years old and called the police.
He was rumored to be working on a solo album at the time of his death.
