Kevin Fenzi is the author of the Linux Security HOW-TO and co-author of Linux Firewalls (O'Reilly). Also wrote Tummy.com's PacketWrangler. He gave a great presentation on security at the Colorado Linux Info Quest in 2001.
KRUD is a hardened Red Hat, basically the standard current Red Hat with all patches, with the default install being much more secure and several additional security tools installed and a KRUD updater to auto-update your secure install.
