An
excellent example of
Zen Poetry composed during Korea's Koryô Dynasty:
"Like The Sun"
- National Preceptor Chin'gak (1178-1234)
Cut down being and nonbeing
The All enfolds.
A dot of Buddha nature-
It shines like the sun.
You may grasp it right away
But can't escape a stick.
How can you then sit idly
And have a moment to think?
