Lysebotn is a small place in the end of Lysefjorden. Inhabitants: close to zero. Surrounded by high mountain walls from three sides and a genuine norwegian fjord (!) makes this a fairly deserted place in the winther. Ony industry here is a power plant owned by "Lyse Kraft".

But when the sun climbes up from behind the mountain in spring time, Lysebotn begins to wake. Tourists from all over the world come to see the majestic mountains divided by the fjord full of history and wildlife.

Lysebotn Camping is base camp for the basejumpers who seek the famous Kjerag. One of the highest and most accessable(only 2 hour walk form nearest road) places to basejumpbasejumping from.
