A character from the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Maachah was the daughter of Abishalom and the mother of Abijam and Asa. She was removed from being queen by her son Asa because she had made an
idol in a grove. Also another women from the Bible with the same name who was the wife of the father of Gibeon (in the sense of being a town father not a biological father).
