Small Wisconsin city on the western shore of Lake Michigan, about 75 miles north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Manitowoc, or "Manny," is probably best known for its ship yard, which build battleships during World War II. The car ferry that crosses Lake Michigan also arrives and departs from here.
