Marine Biology is the
study of organisms that dwell in the
ocean, and the related
ecosystems thereof. It often overlaps into with
biology,
oceanography,
meteorology,
geology,
chemistry, and many other fields. It is not to be confused with
oceanography, which is a general study: marine biology is a
specialized field.
It can also refer to the life forms found in the ocean or marine environment.
