Inducted into the
Pro Football Hall of Fame as a former
coach of the
Buffalo Bills. Levy's Bills won 4 straight
AFC championships, but lost each of the
Super Bowls, the first to the
New York Giants, then to the
Washington Redskins and twice to the
Dallas Cowboys. No other coach has ever appeared in 4 straight
Super Bowls.
Levy had coached for 11 1/2 seasons from 1986-97, the Bills went 112-70 and 11-8 in the playoffs. He was named Coach of the Year in 1988. Levy also was the head coach of the
Kansas City Chiefs for five seasons and compiled an overall record of 143-112.
