Misawa

Misawa City is located in the northern prefecture of Aomori Japan. Misawa City is about 120 square kilometers in area. It is located beside Lake Ogawara.

Misawa history includes:

• A horse farm that once raised horses ridden by the Emperor of Japan himself.
• The take off point for the first trans-pacific crossing.

You can find many foreigners especially Americans and French in the Area.

• Misawa City is host to Misawa AB which hosts about 5000 US Air Force and US Navy personnel.
• The French have recently moved into the area to build a nuclear power plant close to Misawa.
