A German manufacturer of pens and other writing instruments.
The company was founded on April 28, 1838 by Carl Hornemann, though it's name "Pelikan" was invented in 1863 by the production manager Gunther Wagner.
Pelikan is, according to their website, the oldest German company still making fountain pens in Germany. Their logo is, unsurprisingly, a picture of a pelican.
Though they make a range of pens and related materials, they may best be known for their fine fountain pens, and the ink for use therein.
