Pig"gin (?), n. [Scot.; cf. Gael. pigean, dim. of pigeadh, pige, an earthen jar, pitcher, or pot, Ir. pigin, pighead, W. piccyn.]

A small wooden pail or tub with an upright stave for a handle, -- often used as a dipper.
