"Ramitas" are a savory snack food in Chile. "Ramitas" literally means "twigs". This might seem to be an unappealing endorsement of their taste, but the name refers to their shape. They are made of wheat rolled into thin tubes, having basically the same shape as a pretzel stick. They come in two versions: plain and queso. And while I said that their name was meant to capture their shape and not their taste, they are also (like much of the food in Chile) somewhat bland. This can actually be a point in their favor: they tend to last a lot longer than a comparable bag of potato chips would.
