This is the little brother of the
Ruger Mini Thirty
Also classified by the US
Government as a Battle
Rifle, this is commonly used among
farmers and
ranchers for warding off
predators and
intruders. Hence they sell a model called the Ranch Rifle. The Ranch Rifle varies from the basic mini-14 in that it's got a lighter colored stock and stainless steel, polished parts to add to visibility.
Expect to pay around US$300-500 for a good condition mini-14.
