Once-notable full-service ISP located in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Sold to Primus Telecommunications in March 2000, and in November 2000, name changed to Primus Managed Hosting Services. Shore.Net CEO Lowell Gray was helped out the door in December 2000. Since then, the former regional ISP contender has laid off about 20%, cut late-shift technical staff and phone support, and hired dozens of salespeople to sell managed servers out of Lynn (aka Boston), Virginia, and Ft. Worth, FL. The Lynn office remains the center of most of the hosting operation's brain trust, and for some time was one of the few profitable arms of the parent company.
