Smapty was a character created by Jon Stewart of Comedy Central's Daily Show. As a part of the "Kidz Newz" (at least I think that was the spelling) segment, Smapty would often write to "Dr. Mr. Stewart", most memorably asking "y2k boom?"
This, of course, was an instance of incredible hilarity amougst me and mine. Actually, I look back so fondly on this character that I registered the smapty.com domain name. Check for content; maybe there will be some there at some point.
