Yogi Bear used to say.
"I'm smarter than the average bear" The word average is said in
bisylabic form (aver-age). It's a cool, funny way to
compliment someone for doing something smart. Or, if used
sarcastically, to insult someone.
It's also fun to say after someone compliments you for something. It's even funnier if you're not very bright, like myself.
