St. Paul,
Minnesota is displaying about 70 five-foot tall statues of
Snoopy, the lovable beagle from
Charles Schultz' comic strip
Peanuts. The statues were commissioned as a celebration of the St. Paul native's life work and are on display throughout the city during the summer of 2000.
This display is another example recent phenomena of public pride and exposure started with the display of decorated cows around the city of Chicago.
