Steve Bell (1951-present) is a satirical cartoonist on The Guardian newspaper. Writes and draws the comic strip If... as well as the occasional editorial cartoon.

The strip features harsh caricatures of the major politicians of the day as well as cynical penguins.

Earlier strips that he created include Maggie's Farm for Private Eye, cartoons for Time Out and the New Statesman and various children's strips for the comics Whoopee!, Cheeky and Jackpot.

He has also made several short animated cartoons with Bob Godfrey.
