This book is about Peekay, and his fight to become the welterweight boxing champion of the world, and his journey of studying law in Oxford University.
But it is mostly about Tandia. Tandia is a half Indian and half African girl, living in South Africa. Her father died when she was a young teenagers, and her stepmother kicked her out. As Tandia grew older she got involved in the black resistance movement.
