The Beacon Hill Art Walk, an annual event, is currently in progress in my neighborhood. Indeed, the gap between my apartment building and the next is one of the sites where visitors can view the works on exhibit.

In the seven years I've lived here, I've never become entirely accustomed to living in a Historical District. People come from all over the world to walk in my neighborhood. It's on the Black History Trail, and park rangers lead tour groups down my block to see the Underground Railroad stop and the African Meeting House. Families with small children wander in search of the route that the Mallard family took in "Make Way for Ducklings." Synagogue historians come to see the Vilna Shul as it undergoes restoration.

Just another perfect Sunday in Boston.
