The Physics of Immortality, subtitled ‘Modern Cosmology, God and the Resurrection of the Dead’, outlines Frank Tipler’s ‘testable physical theory for the existence of God and the physical resurrection of the dead’.

In the book, he attempts to quantify the existence and omnipotence of God, as well as the mechanics of reincarnation by devolving centuries of religious belief and rendering them as physical proofs and theorems.

Tipler says that earth is doomed and we have to leave. We are going to do this, and we are going to do it quite soon, in his opinion. He also says that, when I die, I will go to heaven and my girlfriend may not only be the most beautiful woman who ever lived but could quite possibly be the most beautiful woman ‘whose existence is logically possible’.

While the book does angle more towards those less than familiar with the world of physics and science, he does provide ample mathematical explanation for many of his theories.

If he can conclusively prove the woman-thing, I’m on his side.
