An incredible, laugh-out-loud funny novel by post-modernist American author Mark Leyner, in which he witnesses his father receive a lethal injection, become sentenced to New Jersey State Discretionary Execution, dance as a woman at a strip club, not to mention plunge a scrimshaw engraving tool deep into his thigh.

Mark manages to stay busy in this faux-autobiographical story of himslef, aged 14, though. Between a deadline for a screenplay that is quickly approaching, he also manages to squeeze in several hours of cunnilingus. drug use, and audiophile-geek chat with the middle-aged warden at his father's federal home away from home.

All in all, this text presents the humor and absurdity of postmodernism at its finest, and shows a spectacular mastery of the English word.
