Urien of course is Urien of Rheged, the Uriens of Gorre from Arthurian Romance. Afaon ap Taliesin is given several spellings; accounts are that he was murdered. Cynan Garrwyn was the lover of Morfudd uerch Urien, the sister of Owein ap Urien, and was the one who sent Owein searching for The Lady of the Fountain in the Mabinogion.
