Area (more precisely
delegación)in the south part of
Mexico City. It is
close to the
Periferico, and borders with
Xochimilco
and the
UNAM campus.
The easiest way to get there is to board a
San Fernando pesero in
San Angel and get off before the
La Salle university.
This used to be a separate village (originally not part
of Mexico City), and the main square still has a lot of
old time flavor.
Cool places to visit are the large Bosque de Tlalpan, Plaza Cuicuilco and Peña Pobre.
It is much less touristy than Coyoacan, and the old
area (south of San Fernando) is very nice for strolling.
It also contains some unpleasant and unsafe parts, like Isidro Fabela.
