Any
building (even an old
wooden hut) can be classed as a torture chamber if it is used to carry out acts of
torture (fairly obvious). The most common thought assosciated with torture chambers, however, stems back from
medieval times.
I common medieval torture chamber would consist of several torture devices including red hot pokers (often shoved up the anus), pillaries, whips, knives (for cutting, not killing) and the all famous Rack (which strung the tortured out, pulling and pulling at arms and legs). It wasn't a fun place to be in, though nowadays it could be where some people might like to go to get their kicks.
