Alarmingly silly little UK mid-fi cassette based music label, exisited from 1991-1996. Centering on a small group of musicians local to the Burnham-on-Sea area of South West England, the label eventually expanded to release work by similarly minded artists from the US and Canada. Never a commercial success, the label finally drowned in the financial problems and hysterical sensitivity of its founder. Bands such as Brown Tower, Spacehopper and Wizard Ho Ho found a home on Traumatone, and compilations offered tracks by artists such as Refrigerator and Nothing Painted Blue (originally on the Shrimper label).
