Science Fiction author who won a Hugo Award in 1961 for A Canticle for Leibowitz
In 1959, he culminated a publishing career of 8 years with his most famous novel, A Canticle for Leibowitz. Since then hasn't published a new piece of fiction, although it has been announced that the long anticipated 2nd novel, a parallel work to Canticle, will soon be finished. That one book, however, along with a handful of short stories and novellas, has secured for him a position among the best.
