A 16-voice polyphonic digital synthesizer module. Released in 1984.

The TX7 is simply a keyboardless version of the famous DX7. Oddly, the unit is not rackmountable, but a desktop module. The sound generation features are identical to the keyboard model, as well as the MIDI/tape interfaces. Unfortunately you need either a computer or a DX-series keyboard synth to be able to program the sounds on a TX7.
