Co"ble (?), n. [AS. cuopel; cf. W. ceubal skiff, ferryboat.]
A flat-floored fishing boat with a lug sail, and a drop rudder extending from two to four feet below the keel. It was originally used on the stormy coast of Yorkshire, England.
