n., one who constructs languages, particularly for general communication. From "constructed language" (see conlang), the term is professional jargon among those who create languages and discuss this creation with others, especially via the conlang email discussion list. A conlang may or may not be intended for everyday use; some conlangs may be for use in fiction (see, Klingon, Quenya, et al.) while others may be created specifically for use by humans in everyday communication (see, Esperanto, Lojban). Therefore, a conlanger is one who designs or invents such languages.
