An animated film done by American master of animation Ralph Bakshi. The plot concerns a retelling of the briar rabbit myth in an urban setting. When the film Coonskin was released it caused rioting with black audiences and had to be pulled from theatres. Which is odd because not only is the film skillfully done but because the most negative characters in the film are white. The film had to be renamed before its more recent release on video and (also edited down I believe) renamed Streetfight.
