Many years ago, on the bottom of some small
plastic widget that came from somewhere in the
far east, I found the mysterious inscription:
fongitar. By now exactly what that widget was, and where it came from, are long forgotten.
But the inscription had me laughing for days, and still occasionally raises a chuckle, just by saying it. Phong-guitar. Fong-git-arrr. So I like the absurd and nonsensical.
Back where it was made, it must mean something colossally mundane, but in my lexicon it will forever be a word of surreal mystery, absurd potential. Funny too.
