HIV. Name signifies that it is a
glycoprotein with a mass of 120 Kilo
daltons. Interacts with the
T-helper cell receptor
CD4. Considered to be a possible target for a HIV
vaccine. Formed by the cleavage of
gp160 by the viral
protease.
