A common sight in the
Midwest, grain silos are usually tall
cement cylinders the purpose of which is the storage of
vast quantities of
agricultural products, whatever is common to the region. If you see grain silos in
cornfields, the contents of the silos is very likely corn.
Also the subject of some paranoid fears of conspiracy theorists that the government may actually may be storing "nukyular bombs" in wheatfields near their homes.
