Lahme bi ajeen is a delicious
Lebanese dish. It literally means "meat with dough", but a more accurate description is typically: a 5cm by 10cm
rectangle of
filo pastry topped with fried
mince,
pine seeds, some
sesame seed paste and a squeeze of
lemon.
There are some other variants; for example, instead of using filo pastry, use a dough not too dissimilar to pizza base, and then spread mince meat with spices. It is then put into a tannour (think woodfire oven) where it is cooked until ready.
