In the game of cricket, leg slip is a fielding position that is analogous to the regular slips, but differs in that it is on the on side rather than the off side. It can be thought of as a very short fine leg.

Unlike the regular slips there is rarely more than one leg slip, and usually there is none. For a spin bowler, the leg slip might be used in an attempt to catch a mis-hit sweep. For a fast bowler, the leg slip is used to catch a mis-hit hook or a leg glance that is not kept down.

A leg slip may be referred to as fine if brought closer to the wicket-keeper, or square if moved closer to square leg.
