The smaller
monetary unit of
Zaire, now the
Democratic Republic of Congo. It is one hundredth of a
zaire. I am not aware that they have changed the name of the currency. The plural of
likuta is
makuta. It was itself nominally divided into 100
sengi, but these must have been worthless even before
hyperinflation.
