A finding that joins two ends of a necklace or bracelet together. It looks a little like an actual lobster claw and has a spring latch. There is a tiny lever that opens the claw. The claw is then clipped to a jump ring to keep the piece on the wearer.

These come in several sizes and should be chosen to match the general weight and appearance of the finished piece. Lobster claws are suitable for expensive or inexpensive pieces and can come in silver, gold or plated nickel. Gold or silver lobster claws can be surprisingly expensive depending on weight.
