when the new
millennium begins is well beyond the point of being an
old chestnut to the point of annoyance. (The answer is that according to the
Gregorian calendar which we use now, it begins
January 1, 2001, but if you're looking for
2000 years after Jesus' birth, it passed a few years ago; the start date for the
A.D. year system was incorrectly calculated around the year 750 when it replaced the old system based on the
founding of the
Rome.)
