An foudation created by Apollo, DEC, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Bull, Nixdorf, Philips, Siemens and Hitachi.
They want to make operating systems and interfaces available for many different architectures. The release of their first operating system (OSF/1) was announced in October 1990. A SVR2 license is required for use.
